Hi, I'm Gabriel Alicea a comedian, advocate, and founder of Laughability Media.

I live with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a chronic illness that too many people have never even heard of despite how devastating and isolating it can be. For years, I lived in pain and silence, misunderstood by doctors, dismissed by society, and left to face an invisible battle alone. But through that darkness, I found my light, and it came through laughter.

Laughability Media was born out of that pain, with one goal: to break the silence around chronic illness by using comedy, storytelling, and music to bring visibility to the unseen. If you've ever had to smile through suffering or joke your way through trauma, you understand the power of what I'm trying to build.

I’m not a corporation. I’m just one person with a mic, a mission, and a hell of a lot to say. I’ve turned hospital visits into punchlines, scars into symbols, and silence into shows. My work spans across comedy, short films, music, books, and upcoming national tours all centered on one idea: we deserve to be seen, and we deserve to laugh.
